No user account
PineMode does not require an account and does not ask for directly identifying information. There is no PineMode cloud profile associated with your companion.
Data stored on your device
Your companion name and growth, focus sessions, streaks, plans, and app settings are stored locally on your device. PineMode does not upload this focus history to a NanoVerse Tech account.
Anonymous product analytics
PineMode uses the privacy-focused analytics service TelemetryDeck, provided by TelemetryDeck GmbH, to understand feature reliability and aggregate product use. The app sends product-interaction events, a timestamp rounded to the nearest hour, app and device metadata, and an anonymized per-install device identifier. The identifier is hashed before transmission and the events are not linked to your identity.
Event parameters describe app interactions such as the selected focus protocol, planned or completed session duration, paywall or purchase state, notification result, and selected sound. PineMode does not send your companion’s name, free-form text, email address, precise location, advertising identifier, or payment details. TelemetryDeck states that it does not store IP addresses. No advertising tracking
PineMode does not use IDFA, track you across apps or websites, create advertising profiles, or sell personal information. The app therefore does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions and payments are processed by Apple through the App Store under Apple’s privacy terms. PineMode does not receive your card or bank details. StoreKit verifies subscription entitlement on your device.
Service providers and protection
TelemetryDeck processes the anonymous analytics described above, and Apple processes purchases. We require service providers handling information for PineMode to provide protections consistent with this policy and applicable law.
Retention and deletion
Local PineMode data remains on your device until you reset it or delete the app. Using Settings ▸ Reset All Data permanently removes companion progress, sessions, streaks, plans, settings, and pending local notifications. Resetting local data does not cancel an App Store subscription.
PineMode does not keep a separate identifiable analytics profile. TelemetryDeck controls technical retention under its service terms and our account settings. Because analytics identifiers are anonymized and cannot be linked back to you, we cannot locate or delete analytics events for a particular person. Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain support records, or meet legal obligations.
Security and policy changes
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the limited information PineMode handles. We may update this policy when PineMode or its service providers change and will revise the effective date above.
